The defect of CIP system
There have many advantages of CIP system, but also have some defects as follows:
1)Due to CIP system itself may have cleaning issues, it is easy to be secondary sources and
Potential threat for sterilize fermenting and maturing.
2)Due to use lye as detergent, we have to emoty the CO2 before cleaning the ferments and bright beer tanks. It will waste much CO2 and add the consumoption of lye, so the cost is high. At the same time, the lye and CO2 remained will react result in the content change, it is difficult to control the effect.
3)Cleaning time is long with high water and electric consumption.
4)It is carried out in the condition of without pressure to clean the tanks. When we use the tanks, there has some air in the tanks, it has a risk to oxid and pollute the beer.
5)It is easy to make the tanks change the structure due to vacuum result in negative pressure by pump.
6)Due to consume much detergent and water, it will result in big pressure for treatmenting the sewage.
