There are four troubles for chiller, leakage, blocking, break, burn.
So how to check them.
First, observation. For chilling system, Observe if all pipeline have break, frosting, moisture. And to check if pipelines and pipe connection have leakage. You can use a clean soft cloth to wipe the pipe and pipe connection to check if there is any oil contamination.
For controller, Observe if wire insulation layer is undamaged, and electric elements are good, connection loss.
For ventilating system, check if radiating tubeand fin on condenser have many dust, keep air intake and air outlet clear. Also draught fan, fan and wind strength should be proper.
Second, Listen. To check if there are some abnormal noise during operation, especially for fan and compressor.
Compressor will have a slight vibration and little noise. Please stop immediately if the noise and vibration is abnormal.
What cause that?
1. Improper Installation: frame size does not match chiller, improper fixed or without vibration-absorptive material. Above factors will cause obviously noise and vibration when starting and stopping.
2. Abnormal vibration of compressor: Improper installation of pedestal, Leg difference, vibration-absorptive material improper installation. The bad situation is that compressor have some problems.
3. Abnormal of fan: Improper installation and fan deformation, abrasion of fan motor bearing, also please pay more attention if there are some foreign body inside.
Third, touch Touch compressor unit by hand to check its temperature and vibration.
For condenser, the temperature is downing from top to bottom, and the bottom temperature is lower than environment temperature at proper operation .
Below situations are abnormal:
The compressor is not hot, or upper temperature is tepidity, or the adjacent two pipes have big temperature difference.
