1. Features

The feature of the internally heated kettle tun is that the wort heater is vertically installed in the pot, and the heater is a tubular heater. When the wort is boiling, the wort passes through the tubes of the heater from bottom to top and heats up to boil. An umbrella-shaped spill-proof cover is installed above the heater, so that the rising wort can be distributed to the surroundings, and at the same time, the formation of foam can be avoided, so that the wort can be heated evenly.

(2) Low power consumption

(3) Heat radiation loss is small

(4) Boiling temperature and evaporation rate can be adjusted

(5) Low pressure saturated steam (0.1MPa) can be used for heating

(7) The equipment is simple and does not require external heaters and stirrers

3. Disadvantages

 (1) It is difficult to clean the internal heater. After a certain batch is produced, a large cleaning is required, which will delay production.

 (2) Because the flow rate of wort in the tube bundle is low, if the steam pressure is not well controlled and the steam temperature is too high, local overheating of the wort will occur, resulting in darker color and poor taste of the wort, which will affect the finished beer the quality of.

Compared with the jacketed steam kettle tun, the internal heating kettle tun has obvious advantages. Therefore, many old-fashioned kettle tun have been transformed into internally heated kettle tun.
