How to guarantee all of the beer is cooled evenly and efficiently in a large fermenter
If the volume of fermenter is more than 3000L, the temperature inversion layer phenomenon will become very obvious. That is to say, the temperature of top beer is higher than the bottom beer. At the same time, the glycol will become warmer when arriving at the upper jacket from bottom, which will cause the temperature of top beer is higher further. These factors are very possible to affect the flavor of beer. Therefore, we would design the two glycol inlet and two glycol outlet on the fermenter. In this case, the top and bottom beer would be cooled by same temperature glycol. Besides, one valve will be equipped for the under glycol inlet. Then you can close this valve manually to cool the top the beer separately. This way can guarantee all of the beer in a large fermenter is cooled evenly and efficiently. What do you think?
